La Villa – St. Martin

Located on the French side of St. Martin, La Villa is a charming restaurant that combines elegant French cuisine with warm Caribbean hospitality. With its inviting atmosphere, beautifully presented dishes, and attentive service, it’s the perfect spot for a memorable dinner with friends.

A Mai Tai was the perfect tropical drink to start with. It had a refreshing blend of rum, citrus, and almond flavors, making it a smooth, fruity cocktail that instantly puts you in vacation mode.

To start the meal, we were treated to a complimentary chilled Cauliflower Soup. Its velvety texture and rich, creamy flavor were perfectly balanced with a delicate hint of cauliflower, creating a light yet satisfying appetizer that was a wonderful way to begin the dining experience.

We couldn’t pass up trying the Escargot, served in a rich garlic butter sauce. Tender and full of flavor, it was a classic French dish that was definitely worth experiencing.

The Lobster Bisque was smooth, creamy, and rich with a deep seafood flavor. While it didn’t include any pieces of lobster, its velvety texture and comforting taste made it an enjoyable.

Trying Frog Legs for the first time was a fun experience! Sautéed in a flavorful parsley garlic Provençale sauce, they were tender. The taste and texture reminded me a lot of chicken wings, making them much less intimidating than I expected.

The Roasted Scallops with arrabbiata rigatoni were a standout entrée. The scallops were large, perfectly cooked, and paired beautifully with the rigatoni, while the slightly spicy arrabbiata sauce added just the right amount of heat to bring the dish together.

The Lobster Thermidor wrapped in puff pastry was a rich and indulgent dish. The flaky, buttery pastry surrounded a creamy lobster filling, creating a delicious combination of textures and flavors that made every bite feel special.

The Coconut Crusted Mahi Mahi was the perfect combination of crispy and flaky, with a light coconut flavor that complemented the fresh fish without overpowering it. Served alongside creamy mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables, the meal was both comforting and well-balanced. It was a delicious dish that brought a little taste of the tropics to the table.

The sliced Duck Breast was tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked, topped with a rich Madagascar black pepper sauce that added just the right amount of bold flavor. Paired with homemade creamy mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables, this dish was hearty, elegant, and a great choice for anyone looking for a satisfying meal.

The Red Snapper was fresh, flaky, and cooked to perfection, topped with a flavorful Creole sauce that added just the right touch of spice. Served with creamy mashed potatoes and fresh vegetables, the dish was simple, satisfying, and full of bold Southern-inspired flavor.

The homemade Coconut Rum was the perfect way to end the meal. Smooth, lightly sweet, and full of tropical coconut flavor, it made for a memorable after-dinner treat.

From the flavorful seafood and perfectly prepared entrées to the warm hospitality, every part of the meal was enjoyable. If you’re looking for a delicious dining experience with great food and a welcoming atmosphere, La Villa is well worth a visit.
